Campus Development Committee: Committee Charge

All University buildings and land belong to the University as a whole and are subject to assignment and reassignment to meet the institution’s overall priorities and needs. The Campus Development Committee approves all allocations of university space including lease space.

The Committee, chaired by the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, ensures that major capital projects, defined as new construction, renovation, and/or infrastructure projects with budgets of $4 million or more and those that have a high impact, align closely with institutional priorities, Strategic Plan Goals, and the Physical Master Plan. The Committee provides the governance structure for the implementation of the Physical Master Plan and includes two subcommittees to support this effort: the Campus Planning Subcommittee and the Project Execution Subcommittee.

The Committee ensures broad stakeholder engagement throughout the process as well as recommends and approves ad-hoc building committee members and project steering and/or advisory committee members.
