Artificial Intelligence Advisory Group

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Advisory Group, created in 2024 by Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Warwick Arden and Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation Mladen Vouk, will help NC State lead in the innovation and application of AI.

The AI Advisory Group will meet both as a whole and as two subgroups.

  1. AI and Research Innovation and Application Subgroup: This subgroup will focus on AI and the future of research, with a key consideration being the question of how NC State will continue to serve as a hub for innovation and application of AI research tools.
  2. AI and Administration/Education Subgroup: This subgroup will focus on AI in higher education, with key considerations including the ways in which NC State can lead in the implementation of AI in administration, education and other dimensions of running a world class university.

The AI Advisory Group will meet on a regular basis with the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost and the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation.
