Administrative Assessment Council
Mission
The Administrative Assessment Council supports the university’s mission and dedication to excellent teaching and research, as well as the commitment to institutional effectiveness through continuous improvement in the further development of a robust assessment culture at NC State.
Goals
- Provide support and guidance on the administrative assessment process
- Assist with providing evidence and documentation related to administrative units for SACSCOC compliance
- Serve in an advisory capacity to university leadership regarding administrative assessment activities
- Support the further development and maturation of an assessment culture at NC State.
Membership
The Administrative Assessment Council is a forum for sharing best practices and communicating about administrative unit assessment across campus. The council also serves as an advisory group to the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost regarding administrative unit assessment. Representatives from key administrative areas serve 2-year renewable appointments.

The Administrative Assessment Council hosts one or two meetings each semester to share updates and discuss issues related to administrative assessment.
